“Best concert venues in North America!”

We are lucky to have some amazing talent right here in our backyards. Whether you are into rap, hip hop, rock or country music – you can usually find a concert in or near your city. While the standard theatre or concert venue might comprise of a stage and tiered bleacher-type seats, these landmarks blow the roof off of the others. In fact, some of them even make the list of “The World’s Best Concert Venues.”
The Congress Theater in Chicago, Illinois
This theatre was built in 1926 and was at that time, used as a movie theater. Fast forward 80-plus years and the Congress is one of Chicago’s landmarks. The inside of the theatre boasts magnificent décor and glorious artistic touches. Here, you will find everything from country music to comedy shows.
The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California
The Hollywood Bowl dates back to 1922. It hosts outdoor events and is known as the largest of all outdoor amphitheaters in the entire United States. It comprises of a band shell and a spectacular view of the Hollywood Hills. You can even see the famous “Hollywood” sign in the background.
The Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington
This outdoor venue hosts many concerts in the beautiful Northwest. The Gorge overlooks the Columbia River and the Cascade Rang. The view is truly breathtaking! Up to 23,000 people can sit on the grass and take in some great performances. This spring will bring the Sasquatch! Music Festival – a 4-day event which includes acts such as Mumford & Sons, Dropkick Murphy and The Lumineers.
Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado
What is so cool about the Red Rocks is that is it literally made of rock. This provides for amazing acoustics in this outdoor theater. It has entertained up to 9,450 guests daily and has been around since 1906. Look for Zack Brown Band in May and Sting this June.
Rose Theater at Jazz, Lincoln Center in New York, New York
If you’re into jazz, this is the place for you. The most amazing part of the Rose Theater is that there are no bad seats. Every seat is within 30 meters from the stage. The intention of the designers of this building was to create one of the best jazz halls in the world. Rose Theater delivers with spectacular acoustics and lighting that entice some of the best performers in the industry.
Those are only a few of the fantastic music venues in the country. This short list comprises of the ones you should make a point of seeing your favorite bands at. A better venue brings a better experience!
